South Peninsula Hospital is expanding access to same-day care with the opening of a walk-in Urgent Care clinic on June 1. Located at 4201 Bartlett Street, in the same building as the Family Care Clinic, Urgent Care will be open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. No appointments are necessary, and patients will have access to on-site labs and X-rays. Urgent Care will be staffed by Carrie Warren, FNP-C, who is moving from the Family Care team, and Kara Zimmerman, PA-C, who recently moved to Homer.
October through April, join us on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Kachemak Bay Campus for Wellness Wednesdays. These free community event celebrate health, connection, and lifelong learning, and each evening is designed to nourish both body and mind. No registration is required, and supervised children are always welcome!

Please know that you’re welcome to join or leave the event halfway through: there is no pressure to stay for the entire evening.
Soup & Bread
Enjoy a warm bowl of house-made soup and fresh bread, prepared by SPH with a rotating flavor each week. Common allergens will be clearly labeled.
Health Education Presentation
Each week features a 55-minute presentation led by a mix of SPH staff and local community experts. Topics vary, and past topics have included food as medicine, mindfulness practices, stress management, gut health, diabetes prevention, women’s health, healthy aging, mental wellness, and more. Every session offers a chance to learn something new, support your well-being, and connect with others.
Movement Opportunity
Each month features a different local instructor offering yoga or movement sessions suitable for all ages, abilities, and experience levels. Mats and props are provided. Please bring a water bottle and a layer. Chair options are available.
