Life is unpredictable, and you cant always plan when youll need care. South Peninsula Hospitals Urgent Care clinic offers timely, walk-in care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries that need prompt attention but don’t require a visit to the Emergency Room.

Located at 4201 Bartlett Street, in the same building as our Family Care Clinic, Urgent Care offers walk-in care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Patients have access to board-certified providers, experienced clinical staff, and convenient on-site lab and X-ray services. No appointment is necessary.

Urgent Care is designed to complement—not replace—primary care and emergency care. For chronic conditions, wellness visits, and medication refills, patients should continue seeing their primary care provider. For life-threatening symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, severe injury, moderate to severe abdominal pain, poisoning, overdose, or thoughts of self-harm, patients should call 911 or go directly to the SPH Emergency Room.

Services

Urgent Care

Urgent Care provides walk-in evaluation and treatment for illnesses and injuries that need prompt attention but are not life-threatening. This may include sprains, minor fractures, cuts, mild burns, rashes, fever, flu symptoms, coughs, sore throats, earaches, allergies, vomiting, diarrhea, and other common concerns.

Our team is here when you need care quickly, especially when your primary care provider is unavailable or an issue cannot wait for a scheduled appointment. If your condition requires a higher level of care, we will help direct you to the Emergency Room.

On-site Lab

When lab work is needed during your Urgent Care visit, on-site testing is available to help guide diagnosis and treatment. This allows our providers to gather important information quickly and support timely, coordinated care.

X-Rays

On-site X-ray services allow our providers to quickly evaluate many injuries and conditions during your visit. X-rays are commonly used to assess possible fractures, joint injuries, chest concerns, and other issues where imaging can help guide diagnosis and treatment. If advanced imaging such as ultrasound, CT, or MRI is needed, our team will refer you to the SPH Imaging Department.

Follow-Up Care
Before you leave, well explain your care plan and any follow-up instructions. Some patients may be asked to follow up with their primary care provider. If your condition requires emergency-level care, we will help direct you to the SPH Emergency Room.
