Bio

Born and raised in Nebraska, Teresa Thompson, DNP, APRN, spent 24 years in Wyoming before moving to Alaska to continue working alongside a longtime colleague in otolaryngology and experience all the state has to offer.

Teresa began her healthcare career in Laramie, Wyoming, in 2008 and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with an emphasis on family care in 2016. After four years in primary care, she transitioned to ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care, where she trained with board-certified otolaryngologists. She later earned her certified otorhinolaryngology nurse credential and APRN First Assist certificate.

Teresa is passionate about working as a team with patients and their families. She believes in patient-centered care and collaboration with other healthcare providers and strives to educate patients about the processes used to diagnose, treat, and improve or cure health concerns.

Outside of work, Teresa values spending time with her husband, children, family, and friends. She enjoys hockey, CrossFit, lifting, running, dancing, cooking, and being outdoors. She looks forward to building valuable, lasting relationships with patients and colleagues throughout the Alaska community.
