Bio

Raised in Minnesota, Jessica Malone, MD, attended medical school on an Air Force scholarship and served as an Air Force physician for 15 years. Her assignments took her to Sacramento, Anchorage, and Las Vegas. While stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson from 2016 to 2019, she fell in love with Homer and became one of South Peninsula Hospital’s first hospitalists when the program was piloted in 2017.

Jessica now works as a hospitalist at a hospital in Oregon and part time at South Peninsula Hospital. She has loved working with the Homer community and has continued to return over the years to help fill scheduling gaps. Her clinical interests include cardiology and palliative care.

Jessica lives in Corvallis, Oregon, with her husband and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys vegetable gardening, ceramics, hiking, traveling, cooking plant-based food, and planning a native landscape for her yard.
